Greetings Titan family!
I hope everyone is enjoying the change in weather. Fall is among my favorite times of year as it brings a welcomed spark of energy that the heat of summer drains. It is a great time to get back outside and enjoy time together as a family or explore the many offerings in and around town.
As you plan your fall activities, keep the following items in mind.
Fall Festival: Saturday, November 2
We are anticipating a great day with a ton of activities. VIP wristbands and tickets are now on sale. Avoid the purchase table on the day of the event and get yours now. You can also text VIP to (281) 595-8024. Fall Festival is a community event, so feel free to invite or bring your neighbors and friends!
Spirit Wear/Astros Fridays
From today until the Astros end their season, each Friday will also be an Astros Friday. Feel free to wear Astros shirts, as well as, HTES spirit wear.
Red Ribbon Week: October 21-25
Communication was sent recently with details about Red Ribbon Week. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cheek.
End of the First Quarter
The first quarter is now over, and we are into the second. Report cards can be accessed via ParentsWeb online. If you need help, please let us know.
Due to a lack of student interest, we are not offering PSIA this year. We will continue to work on this and try again next year.
Beginning October 22, students are required to be in the fall/winter Chapel uniform as listed in the student handbook. Please check the handbook and make sure you have the correct items.
Halloween is one of the most fun days of the year at HTES. We will have a Tables n’ Treats parade in the gym followed by our “Monster Mash” Dance Party. We need participant volunteers to set up decorated tables and hand out treats. The TPA will be in touch with grad level parents about the grade level tables. However, we need more! Click this link to sign up and provide a table. This is a fun day and you won’t regret participating. Set up begins at 1:00. The event lasts from 2-3:00. Take down is after the event.
Costumes are allowed on Halloween. Keep in mind that they need to be child-friendly. No blood, gore, overly scary, or accessories that can hurt someone. If you have a question about a costume, please contact me.
Office Hours LIVE! With Dr. Roddy
Almost every Thursday that we are in school, I go live on our Facebook page to discuss all things HTES. If you cannot watch live, the recorded videos are available on our Facebook page. In addition, this week, I began recording the session with the intent of publishing the events as podcasts. So, if you cannot watch live or the recording, you can listen to the podcast at your convenience.
Thank you for your continued support of our school.
It’s a great time to be a Titan,
