Titanium: The Head of School's Blog
October 04, 2019
Greetings Titan family!
With so many events happening in and around Holy Trinity, keeping this message reasonably short will be a challenge.
However, before I share what is coming up, I want to thank all of you. This has been a fantastic start of a school year. There is so much positive energy and enthusiasm around campus, and that is in large part to your decision to partner with us to bring our vision of the future to reality. There is still quite a way to go, but this has been a great start. We get a little closer each day, and your support is critical to continue that progress.
Now for some items of note:
Be A Titan For A Day
The Office of Enrollment Management is trying something new, this fall, and we need your help. On Friday, October 18th, Holy Trinity is sponsoring Be A Titan For A Day prospective student program. An expansion of the admissions applicant shadow day experience, this school-wide event will welcome, to our campus, children who might be a good fit for 3K through Fifth Grade. Student visitors will enjoy excellent teaching, have lunch with new HTES friends, and learn how it feels to, truly, Be A Titan For A Day!
How can you help? Spread the word!
- Think of at least one child who could benefit from spending a day at Holy Trinity
- Call, text, or email the child’s parent, and invite the student to Be A Titan For A Day
- Email the parent’s contact information to Mrs. Lane at email@example.com.
Planning for Fall Festival is in full swing. We are anticipating a great day with a ton of activities. In the coming weeks, we will begin VIP wristband and ticket sales. However, in the meantime, we are still working to find additional vendors and sponsors. More information about becoming a sponsor or vendor can be found here. In addition, you can text Fall Festival to (281) 595-8024 to get more information. Fall Festival is a community event, so feel free to invite or bring your neighbors and friends!
Spirit Wear Fridays
From today until the Astros end their season, each Friday will also be an Astros Friday. Feel free to wear Astros shirts, as well as, HTES spirit wear.
Pet Drive/Taking Care of Animals
Thank you for a very successful outreach project! Second grade will deliver the items we collected next week.
End of the First Quarter
10/10 is the end of the quarter. We are closed 10/11 and 10/14. Parent conferences are on 10/15. Teachers should be in touch about scheduling your conference. There are no classes on conference day.
Spring Creek BBQ Spirit Night
Thank you to everyone who came out for SCBBQ Spirit Night. It was plenty of fun. We will have another one in the spring.
We need more participants in order to sponsor this activity. It is not too late to sign up. The deadline is October 7. At that time, we will determine if there is enough interest to support this activity this year. Contact Mrs. Yarbrough with questions.
Beginning October 22, students are required to be in the fall/winter Chapel uniform as listed in the student handbook. Please check the handbook and make sure you have the correct items.
Halloween is one of the most fun days of the year at HTES. We will have a Tables n’ Treats parade in the gym followed by our “Monster Mash” Dance Party. We need participant volunteers to set up decorated tables and hand out treats. The TPA will be in touch with grad level parents about the grade level tables. However, we need more! Click this link to sign up and provide a table. This is a fun day and you won’t regret participating. Set up begins at 1:00. The event lasts from 2-3:00. Take down is after the event.
Office Hours LIVE! With Dr. Roddy
Almost every Thursday that we are in school, I go live on our Facebook page to discuss all things HTES. If you cannot watch live, the recorded videos are available on our Facebook page. In addition, this week, I began recording the session with the intent of publishing the events as podcasts. So, if you cannot watch live or the recording, you can listen to the podcast at your convenience.
Thank you for your continued support of our school.
It’s a great time to be a Titan,
