Titanium: The Head of School's Blog
January 17, 2020
Greetings Titan family!
As a reminder, school is closed this Monday, January 20, in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. School resumes Tuesday, January 21.
Re-enrollment and new student application review season is coming in February. As such, we are hosting an Open House on January 29 from 6-8 PM. This event is for both current and prospective families, and will act as our 2020-2021 current family preview. There will be information shared that night relative to both audiences; including, meeting teachers and getting a preview of next year. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this event. In addition, please refer or bring a friend or neighbor to learn more about how to join our school community.
The event opens at 5:30 PM for prospective families. A prospective family presentation will begin around 6:00 followed by visiting teachers and classes around 6:30.
For current families, check-in begins at 6:30 in the gym. A current family presentation will start at 7:00 followed by visiting classes and teachers. The event ends at 8:00.
If you have any questions regarding Open House, please contact Lisa Lane, Director of Enrollment Management, at email@example.com.
Also, on January 29, students will spend some time with teachers before lunch and get a preview of what their next year will be like.
From January 21–31, HTES is participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring by collecting canned goods to donate to HAAM (Humble Area Assistance Ministries). Our goal is 500 cans and 100% participation. Please help us meet our goals and help those who are in need.
Finally, February 5 is the Global School Play Day 2020! Last year, we participated in this event with great success and are excited to participate once again. Details about this event will be sent soon.
Thank you for your continued support of our school. I look forward to seeing you at Open House on January 29.
It’s a great time to be a Titan,
