End of First Quarter

October 02, 2020
By Dr. Troy P. Roddy
Greetings Titan family!
Here are a few items for your attention for this week.
This coming Tuesday, October 6, we will have a “pet” blessing during our regularly scheduled Chapel. Fr. Dave has agreed to record a video blessing which we will show during the service. Students can bring one of the following items to be blessed: a plush or stuffed animal version of their pet, a photo of their pet, or a picture drawing, etc.) of their pet. Please do not bring a live animal to school for the blessing. Also, in keeping with our safety plan, guests (family members, etc.) will not be able to attend the service. Please remember to wear the proper Chapel uniform that day, too. It is also individual picture day. Information about pictures (order forms) were sent home this week.
While this is a departure from our usual Pet Blessing Day protocols, we are pleased to continue this tradition in a different, yet COVID responsible, manner. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Fo students unable to attend, we will share the blessing video with you. For pictures, you will take yours on the make-up day, November 3.
Thursday, October 8, is the last day of this grading period (3K - 5th). If you haven’t heard from your teacher already, you should soon. They are scheduling virtual parent conferences for that day. Report Cards and comments are being compiled now. My goal is to have them ready for Thursday. You will get a message concerning Report Cards once they are ready to view.
Related to the end of the grading period, school is closed on Friday, October 9 and Monday, October 12 for a fall break. School resumes Tuesday, October 13. Remember, that day begins our fall/winter Chapel uniform which includes the sweater options as outlined in the Handbook.
Finally, thank you for your partnership and cooperation with our COID-19 protocols. The faculty and I recognize and appreciate your support as we all manage these challenges together. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
It’s a great time to be a Titan,
