WHY CHOOSE HOLY TRINITY EPISCOPAL SCHOOL?
"My child loves going to school each day."
There are many reasons why families consider private independent schools for their children. While specifics may vary, almost all are seeking an educational experience that does more than teach core academics. They want a school that deeply inspires children to connect with others, operates with a moral and ethical code, models respect, compassion, and integrity, and sets the foundation for living an educated and meaningful life.
The mission of HTES is to prepare students for higher education and a meaningful life experience through a program emphasizing academic excellence, spiritual development, and social responsibility.
We serve our mission by building and maintaining a community of educators and families that are committed to supporting each other while providing an inclusive and comprehensive “life-preparatory” education that is centered on students and backed by developmentally, scientifically, and emotionally sound methods for teaching and learning.
These are big ideas which are often hard to move from theory to practice. So how do we do that? How do we take an internally facing concept like our mission and move towards an outward facing reality?
We do this by showing up each day and doing the emotionally labor intensive work of relationship centered teaching. Emotional labor, the value added of attending HTES, involves providing students opportunities to grow, learn, share, celebrate, take risks, and fail with grace.
In other words, Holy Trinity inspires hearts and engages minds.
This is why we believe our school is the best place for children to learn in Northeast Houston.
We are committed to keeping class sizes small in order to deliver a personalized experience. Our self-imposed maximum class section sizes are:
3K: 12 - 14 students
4K: 14 - 16 students
Kindergarten - 5th grade: 16 - 18 students
Our current student-teacher ratio is about 6:1.
