Including Kids at Holy Trinity Episcopal School is a school within a school. Established in the fall 2012 as a result of a pilot program during the 2011-2012 school year bringing special needs students to the campus of Holy Trinity Episcopal School. Students in this program participate in worship, socialization, lunch, PE, and fine arts programs. In addition to specials curriculum, students with the direction of his or her own Including Kids teacher are exposed to academic coursework that is appropriate for them. Each student enrolled in Including Kids at Holy Trinity Episcopal School are selected into the program based on assessments at Including Kids, Inc.
Including Kids, Inc. located in Humble, is a nonprofit organization celebrating 10 years of service that provides research-based behavioral intervention and instruction for children and young adults with autism and other related delays, endeavoring to cultivate their learning and social skills to facilitate their inclusion in the community and inspire them to become productive citizens. Including Kids, Inc. was founded in 2003 at a time when autism was reaching epidemic levels, and there were very few services offered for early intervention. Fueled by her passion for autism awareness and the needs of her community, Jennifer Dantzler, with a loyal board of Directors, formed Including Kids, Inc. Now, 12 years later, Including Kids, Inc. has helped over 438 families.
